Bulgaria is one of the fastest growing
travel destinations in Europe. With
ridiculously low prices, just about
anyone can enjoy an affordable but
still enjoyable and exciting trip to this
Balkan region. During the ski season,
Bulgaria's popular resorts attract many
visitors from around the European
continent and many other regions of
the world. Visitors consistently enjoy
great conditions, spectacular weather,
and great ski accommodations.
Where should you stay for your ski
holiday in Bulgaria? Around the
country, a number of ski resorts are
especially well known - Pamporovo
being one of them in addition to some
smaller resorts such as Chepelare and
Vitosha.
Wherever you may be headed, you
will want to make proper lodging
arrangements - Ski chalet rentals are
a great way to go! And Ouze Mifca
(keep Smiling) Ski Chalet is an ideal
home base for your winter sports fun
in the sun.
In Pamporovo you can find ski and
snowboard schools with over a
hundred qualified English speaking
teachers/instructors. Daily lift pass is
less than 20 pounds and at a half
price for the kids. Ski rental equipment
is also available at several locations.
Plans for the future:
The Bulgarian government
recently approved the €250 million “Perelik”
project, which plans to connect the Perelik peak
in Pamporovo with the Mechi Chal peak near
Chepelare. The project will add 30 more
kilometres of ski pistes and associated facilities to
Pamporovo’s existing facilities. The “Perelik”
project will also bring 12 kilometres of lifts, 15
kilometres of ski run pistes and a new winter
sports stadium. The traditional town of Chepelare,
which is only 10km away, is also receiving a huge
amount of investment.
Real estate prices: Although real estate prices in
Pamporovo are increasing, the “Perelik” project is
expected to drive prices up even more. Prices in
Pamporovo are expected to reach prices in
Bansko in the next couple of years.
